A Pinch of Color

A gorgeous sky spread above the parking lot. Isn't this a great way to end the week? I hope everyone enjoys a bright and colorful weekend!

Fuji in Pink

The end of another hectic week.

Did anyone realize that today is Friday the 13th? And can someone else tell me why Jason wears a hockey mask? Was he a former hockey player?

Far from the scary movies based on this day, I'm enjoying the evening and looking forward to this weekend. If you look closely at the photo, you can see an outline of Mt. Fuji. Happy weekend, everyone!

In Every Glance

This is the sunset from yesterday reflecting onto the Seibu Building. And if you look closely at the photo below, you'll see a part of the sunset on the bus.

Over the Station

We had a very pretty sunset the other day.

I'm glad I looked behind me while walking home from the station. Or I may not have noticed this pink sky!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Turn On the Lights

Five minutes till the sun sets.

This is Gracis Tower Tokorozawa on the right and Tokorozawa Skyrise Tower on the left. Sometimes I like seeing how all the windows start to light up.

Rush Hour

Everyone is rushing home today...the Japan vs Paraguay game starts at 11pm!

Who would of thought Japan would make it this far? We were in such a sorry state before the world cup. But this just shows, you never know what will happen!

There was this funny article about many Japanese soccer fans were saying sorry to the head coach on twitter for all the things they said or thought before the tournament. I can tell you, I'm pretty sure none of them were nice.

As for me, they've come this far so I don't care who wins, just as long as they play a good soccer game. And here they come...!

Train Transfer

It kind of hard to see (my camera's zoom is still broken) but if you look very closely, you'll see a bridge over the station platforms.

The bridge connects the three platforms at Tokorozawa Station and people use it to transfer to different train lines.

The station is actually being renovated right now and when it's completed in 2012 there is going to be a new station building above the platforms. So I thought I'd take a photo of this bridge before it's torn down.

Beautiful Morning

It's been a while since I was able to take a photo of the sunrise. But I was wide awake today.

Why?

Because Japan vs Denmark (World Cup 2010) was on live at 3am this morning, that's why! Japan played very well and I'm sure all the people who woke up early, or stayed up late, thought that it was worth it!

I'm very proud of Japan for making it to the next round! Yay!

This building reflects the other buildings on the other side of the street and the evening sky!

Splendid Sky

The sky was beautiful.

I was relaxing in a park, reading a book I had just borrowed from the library, and this is what I saw when I looked up. I'm glad the book was a bit difficult to read (it was a Japanese book) or I may have missed this!

The Night

A quiet night after a hectic week.

Friday nights are usually for going out. But it's nice to have some downtime once in a while. Have a great weekend everyone!

Near The Cross

This is the cross above the Tokorozawa Seventh-day Adventist Church. I thought it looked quite pretty against the sky.

Happy weekend, everyone!

Going Home

Everyone heading for the west exit of Tokorozawa Station. After a long week, everyone must be ready to get on the train and head back home to relax.

Happy Weekend!

Sunset with a View

The end of another week.

The sky above Tokorozawa was pretty earlier this week.

Do you see the slightly faded mountain on the left? That is Mt. Fuji, the tallest mountain in Japan. It is located about 85km southwest of Tokorozawa, on the border of Shizuoka and Yamanashi prefecture.

It's not everyday that the sky is clear like this, which makes the view of Mt. Fuji even more special.

On the Wall

Aaaaaaand we're back to winter again today. That was fast.

It seems the lovely spring weather was just yesterday, and we're back to a few more weeks of cold, cloudy, and rain.

While I was walking around town last weekend, this wall with the shadows caught my eye. Looks like a jungle, but the house in across from the wall actually had a very pretty Japanese garden-like yard.

Shovel or Make Snow Angels

Winter has finally swept through Tokorozawa. I woke up this morning to this and couldn't help but jump up and down!

It usually never snows in Tokorozawa, or any area around Tokyo, for that matter. It's always just cold and cloudy. And I'm always like this, doing a little snow dance, because I think if it's going to be cold, it might as well snow!

So imagine my excitement on seeing this! And I know it'll all be gone by mid-day and it's just a one time deal, but that's probably one of the reasons why I love it so much when it snows!

The Day After

Still a bit giddy from all the festivities.
But a bit sad that it's all over.

Still full from the christmas dinner.
Tired...but in a good way.

How do you spend the day after Christmas?

Early to Rise

I've just started joggin recently. Only for a few miles but I'm hoping to get better.

So the big question is...should I run at night or in the morning?

Watching a sunrise like this while running sounds lovely. But then, will it still be lovely when I'm out of breath? Hmmm.

Another Early Morning

Every sunrise is one of a kind. This morning was no different.
