I found out this last year that I adore giraffes. With a passion. It came out of nowhere and just swept me off my feet one day. And I was hooked.
But the thing is, my apartment is in no way decorated to fit a giraffe. Not even a giraffe calendar or a small giraffe shaped candle. Believe me, I've tried!
When I spotted these two adorable giraffes at an interior shop, I couldn't help letting out a big shout and rushing over to cuddle! They were so adorable!
But alas, it wasn't meant to be. And so after the cuddling and a couple of minutes of just gazing into each others eyes, sighing over the unfairness of it all...I reluctantly walked away.
But secretly this love affair still continues...

Oh my. Maybe I’ll do it. Depending on how things work out this month I would really love a couple-meter tall wooden guy like this.
I can identify with your passion. I must have had a premonition as to my future height even when I was in early elementary school. I love the patterns on their coats. Their regality. Kindness. Gentleness. Uniqueness. Just had to have a stuffed animal version. It meant a lot when I got one. They must have been rare those many decades ago when I was given one by a thoughtful and persistently searching (loving) mother.
I wish there was some way you could figure out to accommodate a giraffe’s presence in your own life. You both might do each other a lot of good.
Amazon Japan has this poster. Maybe there are other posters elsewhere. A poster is flat and can be stuck to a wall with removable harmless putty, but posters lack a certain cuddle-ability factor...

It occurred to me that if you put a giraffe in your room you could label it as a member of the Honolulu Zoo. Yes, there is a bit of Africa (etc.) in Polynesia. You can see the resident giraffe names at the bottom of the page.
I have to admit they are rather cute giraffes! :D
