To answer your question on my blog, generally people leave their lights up for a week or two after Christmas. But I already took mine down since we've got some bitter cold (-22° C) and snow on the way, whereas some people leave them up for a month or more, which I think is too long.

It looks like this lacquerware artist found inspiration in your photos. But, you know, I like the design of your photos a lot better.
It is the first time that I see that a flower comes out with its stem. It looks even more elegant.
