It kind of hard to see (my camera's zoom is still broken) but if you look very closely, you'll see a bridge over the station platforms.
The bridge connects the three platforms at Tokorozawa Station and people use it to transfer to different train lines.
The station is actually being renovated right now and when it's completed in 2012 there is going to be a new station building above the platforms. So I thought I'd take a photo of this bridge before it's torn down.

Nice shot and I agree, it really good ideas to get the shot before the change
Love the blue cast and the subtle band of yellow on the platform.
I like the cool blues and all the wonderful lines.
It's great that you are preserving the "before" look. I feel bad when I had a chance to take a photo of something only to find it's gone when I go by again.
Great idea to take pictures of places that are undergoing change. Look forward to pictures of WIP and completion
I'm like Tash, I like the blues. And that bridge is so light!
Recording what is likely to not be there in the future is a vital role for bloggers - even it seems to be only something mundane like a footbridge.
The light in these shots is so very cool (blue)!
I have been trying to capture as many things as I can before they are demolished.
I see the bridge. :) I love the tones of colour in this photo.
Hope your zoom is fixed soon!
Merci de ton passage chez moi :)
Thanks for passing by mon travellers blog.
Best regards from Argentina

I love these urban scenes. I'm sure the new bridge will be very exciting to look at and walk over!
wow this colour in blue is fantastic. That second shot is amazing, great angle and cool idea for this theme.
Happy Sunday

I like footbridges even more than bridges... We're waiting for some pictures of the renovated station.
Wow, I doubt if I can use that bridge crossing from one train station to the other, I have fear of heights.
I say this cause I take the train everyday to work.
This is a great photograph to keep!
Looks as if many do have to travel early in the morning. May they all and most of all you have a great start into the new week.

Very nice pictures.
Don't you just hate when the zoom doesn't?
I'll be sure to take a photo of the new bridge once it's done! Hopefully I'll stop being lazy and get my camera fixed by then :-)
Thank you for the comments, everyone!
i like the sky and the whole seiyu sign at the back.
and yup, i saw the tiny hint of the bridge. ^0^
I know how you feel. I remember being able to look up at the sky from the Shibuya Inokashira Line platform when that part of the station was under construction. I already mentioned the same thing (but before construction) at Kokubunji. Now you, too, are getting old enough to say, “I remember when...”
Yes, I agree with you.
This is a great subject to follow, especially during such a deep transformation.
