It's sunny and colder than ever! They keep on saying "today is the coldest day this winter," every single day and the temperature keeps on dropping...maybe they should say something along the lines of "it's cold but it will probably get colder tomorrow" so I won't expect it to be warmer the next day!
But it seems the plants around Tokorozawa are ready for spring. Are those new shoots...or is this just wishful thinking?

Togetherness.
Please have a good Friday.

I'm impatiently waiting for Spring as well. I cannot stand any more snow. =\
I hope you have a good day and that tomorrow is a warmer one!
I'm ready for Spring, too! I tired, tired of shoveling snow!
Gorgeous!
My Sky shots, have a great weekend!
Beautiful clear sky!
Happy SWF .
Enjoy your weekend.
I love this!
The last three days of January are traditionally considered here the coldest days of winter. I am not sure if this is true, but I hope spring will come quickly...
Have the plum trees blossomed yet?
the weatherman is giving you hope.:p i love the simplicity of this photo. the light is beautiful.
Those ARE new shoots, so stay hopeful! What, by the way, is cold to you? It's a relative thing, ya know... :-D I get a kick out people here wearing jackets because it's "cold" at 27C!
Indeed - we in the northern hemisphere are ready for spring!
Thank you everyone!
Francisca, cold would be today again...it's as high as 10C during the day but in the mornings and night it's around 0C here. But you're right, it's like that in Okinawa, too! My grandma is always telling me how "chilly" it is at 20C! ;-D
Tall Gary, yes! I thought for sure that it was too cold this year, but the ume flowers are blossoming here and there ;-D
It seems the whole world is experiencing a cold snap while in my little corner we're in a warm pocket that for a couple of weeks earlier this month experienced ridiculous spring-like weather - people were in t-shirts without jackets and it was comfortable! Our plants started budding then, too. Hope they don't freeze now that the temps are dropping again...
Great Skywatch photo. I know it's a long time until spring in my part of the world - our snowiest months are yet to come!
I'm ready for spring too, which around here should only be about another month!
Simply and beautiful :)
Have a nice week end
I think you're right! Doesn't it seem a little early?
