Pitter Patter

It finally rained today.

It's been a long while since is last did. I can almost hear this plant saying, "Oh good, finally!."

Brrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Can you believe it? It's the middle of April and it snowed again!

I was actually half asleep when I took these photos in the morning but you can clearly see the snow on the rooftops. Of course it all melted by afternoon but still. I've never heard of snow in April. I worry about our world sometimes.

Hot 'n Cold

The weather can't seem to make up it's mind. It's 22 degrees one day and 9 degrees the next. Sunny one afternoon and raining the next. Wearing a t-shirt one day and a fur coat the next.

I keep on putting my winter clothes away then having to dig it back out. But at least I got a photo out of this crazy weather. The slick wet roads made for a great reflection!

Back to Winter

So here I was, ready to take photo after photo of the soon-to-bloom cherry blossoms, and mother nature decides to dump another batch of snow on us.

Brrrrrrr!

Is This It?

It hasn't snowed like this in years!

We usually only get a day or two of snow each winter. And it usually just melts away. But it started snowing last night. Everything melted during the day, but we got a taste of winter again.

It's suppose to be sunny and warm next week so I enjoyed the last bits of winter we had today.

Mr. Snowman

When it snows, you HAVE to make a snowman! Even if it's a teeny tiny one.

Take a look at different skies all around the world here.

It's Still Winter

A bit more photos of the snow we had this week.

I kind of feel sorry for the blooms that popped out thinking winter was almost over, only to get all that snow dumped on them. But I think they still look pretty.

Shovel or Make Snow Angels

Winter has finally swept through Tokorozawa. I woke up this morning to this and couldn't help but jump up and down!

It usually never snows in Tokorozawa, or any area around Tokyo, for that matter. It's always just cold and cloudy. And I'm always like this, doing a little snow dance, because I think if it's going to be cold, it might as well snow!

So imagine my excitement on seeing this! And I know it'll all be gone by mid-day and it's just a one time deal, but that's probably one of the reasons why I love it so much when it snows!

Moody Rain

Rain, rain, go away
Come again another day

(preferably when I'm out of town or asleep...)

A Building in the Puddle

It's not raining anymore! Well, at least for now.

Walking back home I saw a big puddle with lights flickering in it. Pretty, don't you think?

It was reflecting the Hills Tokorozawa Ekimai Kusunokidai, an apartment building right next to the station.

Here Comes the Rain

The rain is back...and with a bit of a force!

Why is it that the rain seems to come down hardest when you step outside? It was like that this morning. Everything was a blur on my way to the station. Kind of like this photo.

Puddles

We've got puddles all around Tokorozawa today. Need to watch where you're walking!

Standing In Line

People standing in a line, waiting for the train to come. I've heard people only do this here in Japan. Is this true or false?

Contrast

It was one of those gloomy rainy mornings...but I found a small bush already starting to change color along the way to the station. The rosy color was a lovely contrast to the miserable weather.

This month's theme is 'Contrast.' I kept on forgetting about the theme days but finally remembered about this month's, thanks to Hilda from My Manila!

Sunny Sunny Day

Well, okay...so I THOUGHT more rain was on the way. But I guess not.

The sky was beautiful today. Great day. Great summer day. Love the weather. I'm hoping more of this weather continues.

A Hard Rain's Gonna Fall

We've been having rain again. Pretty intense rain. But for some lucky reason it's never raining when I'm heading toward the station.

Like today, it stopped raining about 10 minutes before I needed to leave. Someone must be very pleased with me.

More rain is still heading our way though.

It's Just Those Rainy Dayz

Still raining here in Tokorozawa. But it's mostly drizzle.

The rainy season should be over in the next week or so. I thought I should enjoy it while it lasts.

So since I had to go to the post office, I put on shorts and flipflops and walked through a field of grass on my way there. There's nothing like getting your feet wet with raindrops.

It's Raining, It's Pouring

The rain was really coming down hard the other day.

It suddenly started pouring. Lasted about 15 mins. We've been having a lot of these squalls in the last couple of years. It's like the weather has gone tropical on us.

But the rain...it's pretty magnificent.

I like it, just as long as I'm indoors, of course.
