If you look really closely in yesterdays photo, you'll see a bridge at the far end of the river.
This bridge is actually more like a road with the river running under it. But whatever it looks like, a bridge is a bridge. I took a photo of the name written on the side of the bridge.
This is Matsui Bashi.

Excellent, Kaori! As you wrote, a bridge is a bridge - and it's fun to see the variety of entries around the world!
And all this time, I thought it was, "a rose is a rose."
This is so exotic to me! Lovely!
I was just asking myself this looking at your yesterdays picture. Lovely detail!

I went to a Japanese Restaurant this evening.
Had tempura prawns and terayaki salmon.
Do you celebrate Mother's day?
The restaurant is called Renkon, simple not sophisticated food, just rice and undon noodles.
Nice bridge posting for Louis La Vache's Bridge theme today! Genki de ne!

Keeping life in balance

The printing is intriguing, very nice details.
The script is beautiful even if I can't read it! :)
now i know why you posted this, the foto has got some prefect green reflections! ^-^
but why is it called bashi?
isn;t it supposed to be hashi for bridges? ^0^
Thank you everyone!
Rebecca, the sign reads 'Matsui Bashi' in Japanese :)
Arabesque, you're right, 'Bridge' is 'Hashi' most of the time, but sometimes the word is pronounced 'Bashi' to accomodate the flow of the word!
