Paradox

"The miracles of nature do not seem miracles because they are so common. If no one had ever seen a flower, even a dandelion would be the most startling event in the world."

But then again, what would be considered a startling event, such as the sudden resignation of a prime minister, is no longer a surprise in Japan because it happens so often. Like yesterday. Again.

I think we'd actually be a lot more surprised if they were to stay in office for the full term. We'll see how the next prime minister does...

I sure wish some of our leaders would resign.

«Louis» is with B SQUARED about wishing some of our leaders would resign! «Louis» will stop right there instead of going on a political rant...

He does hope that Japan finds some stability...

Such an appropriate image for your caption, Kaori. Another Japanese prime minister blown to the wind. Maybe his successor will understand clearly now what happens when you make Okinawans unhappy.

I’ll miss his shirts.

Good luck with your next PM. I know a few local leaders I wish would resign.

I hope your new PM is better! (Sidenote: my friend and I had such a huge crush on your former PM, Junichiro Koizumi. He was so handsome! Heehee!!!) Lovely shot though!!

Hmmm... I think we will never be satisfied with our leaders. It's all part of the politics game.

This dandelion is perfect though!

Very interesting comments! It's no easy feat heading a country, but I hope the next prime minister strives forward and sticks to his initial ideas.

Arabesque, the quote was stated as ananomous :( As for the prime minister...I think he was just too nice and tried to make everyone happy. And you know that never works ;-D sigh.

VP, well, we've had 13 prime ministers in the last 20 years. It seems like they're barely in office long enough to make an impact. I wish the next PM much luck, too :)

Babzy, very smart! Flowers always put a smile on my face :D

Ciel, I thought about it but it was too pretty ;D

Tall Gary, aren't those shirts horrible? You'd think someone would mention to him that they're ugly! But then, he is the person who considers himself an alien... :)

Mia, you had me laughing out loud! Handsome? Really? ;D haha

Halcyon, you're right, there's always going to be someone who's not happy! :-)

I think I prefer what happens there than in the Philippines. Even catching them in blatant act of corruption won't get our government officials to resign!

I've finally seen dandelions here in Toronto! ;)

Kaori: Yes! Haha! He kinda reminded us of Richard Gere, with the salt-and-pepper colored hair. Heehee!
