I Saw the Sign

I don't know how many times I sang along with that Ace of Base song with my best friends in grade school, but I heard it again at a tennis tournament the other day and have not been able to get the song out of my head!

Anyways, this is a sign on a corner of a road that leads to Shimo Yamaguchi Station on the left and the community woods to the right. It also leads to Arahata Fuji, a miniature mountain of sorts, which I'll post about tomorrow!

...I saw the sign and it opened up my eyes, I saw the sign...

Haha, now you'll never be able to get it out of your head...

Was this from the same year? It seems like I heard this everywhere I went in London, August 1993.

Can Arahata Fuji be traced back to the Edo Period Fuji cult? Hiroshige made a few prints dealing with a mini-Fuji in Meguro. And here and here.

Can be ok until the song irritates you. Hopefully it wont.

Tall Gary, well now I have THAT song in my head! haha. It used to be on the radio a lot!

You probably know more about Fujizuka's than I do but I've a few posts coming up about it so you can correct me if I'm wrong :-)

Some of us don't know the song - and now we are looking forward to seeing where the sign is pointing.

It happens with song, sometimes I have a tune in my head for weeks... I see it would be hard to find my way in Japan, very nice signs though!

You have opened up my ears and I am unhappy now living with it stuck in my mind.

It's a nice sign though! I'm going to have to go listen to something better to cleanse my brain! :D

I hope it doesn't get stuck in my head too!

As a Swede I sure remember them. I read in the paper last week that the band is playing again, but without Malin and Jenny. Now they have two new singers.

Since songs do get stuck in my brain, I'm not unhappy to say I don't think I know this one. But then I never know words, but play me three notes and... don't even think about it!

Thank you for all the comments! I've still got it in my head...but I'm pushing it aside with Green Day. lol.

Halycon, oops! I guess you know the song, too! ;-)

Steffe, are you serious? I had no idea they were still around! Maybe I'll look them up for old times sake :D

Francisca, I can bet you money you know this song! But I'll spare you the torture of having it go around in your head ;-D
