Cafe Pumila

Cafe Pumila is a local cafe that serves great coffee and also has a lunch and desert menu. They use the walls and shelves around the counter as a gallery so there's always a creative something to look at.

I had Japanese curry and toast. My first time eating curry with toast but it was good!

I guess because of the bread they call it curry fondue. Yum. It does look good; but, to be honest, my first choice might be the salmon and cabbage pepperoncino pasta. I love the mix of garlic and spicy red pepper. Adding the salmon and cabbage makes it unavoidable. Lunch time is a little less expensive でしょう。

The spicy cod roe cream sauce; Mexican salsa omelette dish; mushroom pasta; whoa, I think I would become a regular.

The art work looks like modern woodblock prints. Interesting.

I don't know much of Japanese curry, but I'd like to try it.

Oh, they use potato bread! "Be still my rumbling stomach."

Gary, I want to try the pasta too. Looked good! :) I've never heard of potato bread, I'll have to look it up!

VP, it went surprisingly well with the toasted bread :)

主場秀, thank you for the lovely comment and for stopping by ;D

There is something about potato bread at Wikipedia and if you Google ポテトブレッド you might get something like these search results. There are recipes also. Have you ever baked your own bread? I’m interested in the colorful potato bread made with purple and red potatoes.

I knew someone with a lot of allergies who ate potato bread.
