You have quite a knack for taking attractive flower photos, Kaori. I think a a number of your photos (not just flowers) would make good Zazzle notecards and such.By the way, I tried to look up Sunagawabori. My Japanese quite honestly sucks, but I get a better image in my mind if instead of a “sewer” I think of it as a storm drainage canal (a section of which has been converted to the like of a stream for recreational purposes). The word “sewer” brings to mind something not always pleasant smelling, like this.
As the cheery blossoms fade, so do the parties of sake drinking friends under the cherry trees! Zannen desu ne! Off to a new party location, right?!
They really are beautiful. Ours are just losing their blossoms now, too. Another week and I expect they'll be gone :(
Cherry blossom is the prettiest of all blossoms. Great pictures
A real tunnel of flowers, gorgeous!
They are so beautiful! I am a little sad to see them go.
Tall Gary, no wonder Sunagawabori (砂川堀) didn't smell at all! Yes, I think you're right!Leif, the cherry blossom season may be over but we always have the next Matsuri to look forward too! And you know we have plenty of those :)Tapirgal, they fade so soon, don't you think? But I guess that adds to the beauty of blossoms :)Mo, I quite agree!VP, thank you! I stole the angle from a man with a huge Nikon camera :)Lois, I am too! But we actually had a couple of weeks to enjoy it this year. Already looking forward to next year :)
