Blossoms in Drizzle

It's raining again...but the cherry blossoms are still pretty under the drizzle. The wind has been so strong lately that the cherry blossoms have already started to fall.

I hope we get at least one more weekend with the cherry blossoms. The season goes by so fast. But I guess that's one of the reasons it's so special.

They really are beautiful! It's sad to see them on the ground though. I feel the same way when I see dogwood blossoms fall.

Spectacular, I rarely see trees in full bloom here. Keep posting them, rain or not!

What lovely cherry blossoms. When I lived in Washington DC I saw the cherry blossoms (the trees were a gift from Japan in 1912), and they were magnificent. I don't think they could survive the winters where I now live.

Don’t despair, Kaori; no matter what, there is always: 多摩森林科学園サクラ保存林。It’s an easy walk from the North Exit of JR Chûô Line Takao Station. Be forewarned that it is closed on Mondays. There are double cherry blossoms that come out two weeks after the standard somei variety. OK, it’s not in Tokorozawa, but for your own enjoyment... And you are so right when you say that they are still pretty under the drizzle—wherever you photograph them. Or is that how you photograph them?

Aww I wish we had cherry blossoms here in the Philippines. They're so pretty! They probably won't survive though. It's so hot here right now! Nice photos Kaori!

Thank you everyone! I'm crossing my fingers for a few more days of nice weather so the blossoms last over the weekend :)
