Time To Go

Hi everyone! Ok, so the big news!

I couldn't think of a clever way to hint at it so I'm just going to say it...I'M MOVING!!!

I really can't believe it myself but as much as I adore this city...this seemed like the perfect time for a change. So after living in Tokorozawa for 7 years with my family, then another 4 years on my own...I'm moving into the city. And when I say "city," I mean "THE CITY" as in Japan's capital...Tokyo Metropolis!!!

I'm super excited, if you couldn't tell by all the exclamation marks! The move is in a couple of weeks so I've got a whole lot of packing to do...so I'm going to take a break from blogging for a bit. But I'm hoping to start another blog so I can learn and explore more about my new city and share it with you!

This will be my last post on Tokorozawa Daily Photo. I had a great time starting this blog and being a member of the CDP community. And through that I got to meet SO many interesting fellow bloggers who posted wonderful photos of places all around the world, which I've enjoyed immensely!

So I'd just like to say a big ole "Thank you!" to everyone...I'll see you soon!

Much Love,
Kaori

WoW, Kaori, that IS big news! I've so enjoyed your posts and look forward to seeing your new blog after you have settled into the big city. I know, having done it too often to count (and doing so myself later this year, but not out of the city), how much work a move involves, so I understand your taking a break. Hope it all goes smoothly for you. Thanks for your wonderful support on my blog and see you again soon.

[I don't own a real sari, which I think are gorgeous, but I love and wear Indian cotton tops!]

Which ward? Or which train line will you live along? I’m partial to Kichijoji (and the Inokashira Line) but most places in Kichijiji are either Musashino City or Mitaka City. Taito-ward is a bit too shitamachi for a young person and we don’t want you singing this song from experience.

Ginza is nice but why bother with an apartment when you can get such fine personal service here?

Shimokita looks like it might soon go through some major destructive changes.

But of course you have already decided. Wherever in Tokyo you have chosen will be rife with endless photo opportunities. But Tokyo! Who has time to pause to click a camera shutter? And won’t most of your photos look something like this?

Here’s wishing you a smooth move and a new life that that is copacetic.

I really enjoyed my time spent at this blog of yours. I’ll miss it terribly.

Since this is kind of the sunset of your Tokorozawa blog and because I have been enjoying playing “Sunset Glow” 「夕焼け小焼け」 I thought it might not be inappropriate to share it here.
