The little girl playing an instrument. She's on top of the sign for Tokorozawa ENT Clinic, the local otorhinolaryngologist.
The Tokorozawa ENT (which I found out stood for Ear, Nose, and Throat) Clinic was founded in 1977. The sign itself is very unique. I didn't realize it was a clinic until I went to see the otorhinolaryngologist there one day.

She certainly is beautiful!
the ortoh..wha! such a long name! ^0^
it looks symbolic and yes, very unique in its way.
i also love the signage, too bad, can't read it all yet, not familiar with kanji yet. ^-^
I have seen strange signs, but this is one of the strangest. Great and funny catch!
Oh, look! Here she is a few years after posing for that sculpture.
I like the casual naturalness of the sculpture like it had just been molded out of soft clay.
An otorhinolaryngologist . The hay fever problem? I wonder if some kind of Chinese herbal medicine (漢方薬) would help. Neti pot? Breathing steam with eucalyptus oil in the water? A small vacuum cleaner? (Just joking about this last one).
She's lovely. But I don't get the funny-shaped sign. Looks good though. Nice shiny contrast with the rough texture of the sculpture too.
Wwo the sculpture is really beautiful , i would like to have the same in front my house :)
That is exquisite.
Indeed a unique sign!
The sign says 'Tokorozawa Ji-Bi-Inko-ka (ENT clinic)' on both sides of the metal sign ;)
Arabesque, I couldn't pronounce it at first either, that is one long word! ;D
Gary, the visit was actually a check-up for the broken bone near my nose. I accidentally caught a baseball with my face in high school ;)
