Mos Burger

Mos Burger is a popular fast food joint here in Japan. It's a bit more expensive than McDonald's or KFC, but has an image of a healthier menu.

They also let you know where all the vegetables are produced. Like the day I went, the tomatoes were from the Fujita farm located in Toyohashi City, Aichi prefecture.

And if you look at the napkin stand below, they're promoting the new Tomato & Lettuce hamburger with a 'Kokusan' mark, which means that the meat is Japanese beef. We seem to be very picky about our meat. Once again, I have no idea why, seeing as I'm a vegetarian.

I'm just a very big fan of Mos Burger's french fries, yum!

Haven't seen it here. Do they have some veggie burger and seafood burger? Would like to try them :).

I found a M(ountain) O(cean) S(ky) Burger for Henny in Saijo, Higashi Hiroshima City. They do have some seafood and non-meat things: Fish burger; shrimp katsu burger; and koroke burger. Side orders of french fries; onion rings; and green salad.

I used to like their spicy chicken burger but maybe they don’t offer that anymore. Their genmai (brown rice) flake shakes were scrumptious.

You’re welcome, Henny. I’m glad to be of service.

You probably noticed them anyway, but I forgot to mention the rice burgers. They use rice cakes instead of regular buns. The two top ones here would be OK. No red meat. One is kimpira, made with root vegetables such as carrot, burdock root, and lotus root, with nori seaweed. The other is seafood.

If you click on the print-out menu プリントアウトメニュー on the right of the web page (or here) you can see the prices.
