The start of the rainy season is just around the corner. I can feel it. My hair feels it. My boss's knees apparently feel it.
We call the rainy season 'tsuyu'(梅雨) here. It's a word that brings to mind umbrellas, frizzy hair, and snails on hydrangea leaves.
This year the rainy season in the Kanto area is predicted to be from June 8 to July 20.

Your boss? :)
Thanks for the info, Kaori. I have my umbrella ready now. Compared with in Indonesia, rain in Japan is quite 'soft' :).
If I know anyone born under the star sign of Cancer (or late Gemini) I can sing, ♫ “Happy Birthday Tsuyu”♩♬.
Henny, do they have typhoons in Indonesia too? I don't know if I can handle the rain down there :)
Gary, I'll have to remember that :P
Typhoons only in the sea I guess. But thunder yes. You should come and experience our rain some time :). Peace.
