Go Lions!
The season for baseball has begun!
As Tokorozawa is home to the Seibu Dome, we of course are rooting for the Saitama Seibu Lions!
Actually they were just 'Seibu Lions' until last year, when they changed the name to 'Saitama Seibu Lions.' Then they went on to win the Pacific League Championships and the Japan Series. They even won the Asia Series that year. So it seems like the new name brought on a spurt of good luck. Or it could've been the new manager...
Anyways, the shops around the station have a whole bunch of posters on the walls. We're hoping to win the championships 2 years in a row! Go Lions!

It looks like today We are the Lions.
As an aside, when I lived near a Seiyu store (part of the Seibu Saison Group) they would play this Malcolm-Arnold-composed theme song incessantly inside the store, over and over all day long, whenever the Seibu Lions won a game. It seemed just a little bit ironic to consider the movie that was the source of that piece of music, as you can see.
Here in Hiroshima we have The Hiroshima Toyo Carp. Of course you know it, too. Hey, those posters are nice. Can we ask one for collection?
