From 10am to 5pm, there's a train that comes every hour and takes you straight to Kokubunji station.
This first started in 2003 when they got a train to go from Shin Tokorozawa to Kokubunji. But in 2006, in commemoration of the 111th year since the Hon-kawagoe Station was built, they now have a train starting in Hon-kawagoe and goes all the way to Kokubunji.
Very convenient for when you want to transfer onto the Chuo Line.

Wow. I just checked and it looks like a trip to Kichijoji would take something in the range of 30 minutes and cost ¥360. Not too shabby.
I recently read about the “new” color of Seibu Line trains: the blue-striped silver metal to go with the standard yellow, so thanks for showing that, Kaori.
Hon-kawagoe Station brings back memories, although the one summer I worked there I used the Tobu Tojo Line mostly. I never did visit the old part of Kawagoe.
Getting on a train around 9:30 in the morning. I’m glad that you could avoid rush hour.
