Women Only

Most of the trains or subways here in the Kanto area have a Women Only train car during the 'rush hour' in the mornings. Seibu Shinjuku Line is no different.

On weekdays from 7:30am to 9:30am, the first car on the Seibu Shinjuku Line is a Women Only train car.

I always ride in this car for two reasons. For one, it's the nearest car to the station exit that I get off at. And the other, because it smells good. Especially in the summer. I'm not saying that men smell...but it definately smells better in the Women Only cars.

That’s great that you can derive not only a greater sense of safety by riding the Woman Only car but that also you can get greater olfactory pleasure from it. The latter I might not ever have imagined.

Thanks again for showing us a world we know little of.

Are the women only cars more or less crowded than the regular cars?

Actually they're not as crowded as the regular cars...possibly because the women only car is located at the very end of the train.

That is SO COOL! I'm glad men aren't complaining and are chivalrous enough to allow women to have their car. Little boys (under 10) are allowed, aren't they? I have a 3 year old son.
