Sainokuni Road

These pretty flowers and trees are planted along the road behind Seibu department store.

It said on the sign that these plants are being planted and taken care of by volunteers. I'm sure it takes a lot of time and energy to spruce up the place. But I'm very thankful for the nice people who contribute to the city this way.

I agree. I am very thankful to all the volunteers that work so hard to keep our community clean and beautiful.

Until I clicked for the enlargement I thought the flowers in your top photo might have been orchids. Beautiful colors.

In the next photo we can see our old friend Uchidaya down the street a ways.

Let’s say a little “Thank You” to the volunteers who have contributed to the well-being and beauty of your town. Now, even some non-Japanese who are far overseas appreciate their efforts, thanks to you, Kaori.

Thanks everyone! Tokorozawa is a fairly clean city, thanks to the nice citizens and volunteers, which is one of the things I love this place.

Gary, I was wondering if anyone would spot the Toriniku Ten! And I think the flowers are Viola's...sort of in between a violet and pansie :)
